The Machine Intelligence and Data (MIND) Lab is a research group at Lawrence Technological University dedicated to advancing artificial intelligence, machine learning, reinforcement learning, graph neural networks, and data-driven methods. Our research focuses on developing intelligent systems for real-world applications, including intelligent transportation systems, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), smart communities, and business analytics.
The MIND Lab emphasizes collaborative research between faculty and students. Undergraduate and graduate students are actively involved in every stage of the research process, from identifying research questions and developing new algorithms to conducting experiments, publishing peer-reviewed papers, and presenting their work at regional and international conferences. Through this experience, students gain the technical skills and research experience needed for graduate study and careers in industry.
Current research projects include graph neural networks for transportation analytics, multi-agent reinforcement learning for adaptive traffic signal control, GPS trajectory mining and spatiotemporal data analytics for traffic flow analysis and congestion detection, and autonomous UAV technologies for mission planning and aerial monitoring.
The MIND Lab welcomes collaborations with researchers, industry, and government organizations interested in applying artificial intelligence and machine learning to real-world challenges.
